MSC APPLIED AI AND MACHINE LEARNING

Students in the “STEM” fields, computer science and software engineering, or experienced testers and developers are welcome to take this course. AI will have no limits. AI is changing how we live, and AI careers are future-proof.

This rapidly growing field will dominate technology’s future. AI engineers develop self-running computers that learn how to recommend searches, translate apps and chatbots, and drive self-driving cars. In this field, they design machine learning systems, apply algorithms, and solve problems with data sets.

The AI engineers specialise in Machine Learning, which is based on algorithms and decision trees. This conversion course is recommended if you are interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI), but don’t have a computer science background. It covers the foundations of computer science and the specialised knowledge needed for an AI career.

The programme prepares you to apply your skills to a range of real-world challenges throughout the course, and upon completion, you will be ready to research, create, and implement technical solutions.

MODE OF STUDY

COURSE CONTENT

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

This is a full-time degree, taught over one year. You will study state-of-the-art concepts in software engineering and will focus on the fundamental concepts and principles of systems analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The course focuses on the cost-effective development of high-quality software. You will also have an opportunity to improve your practical skills so that you can plan and conduct complex systems development projects to meet customer needs and integrate software solutions into an evolving business environment.

Software Engineering can be combined with management studies. This enables you to set your technical knowledge in a management context. It also enables you to work effectively with business managers to develop systems for business advantage. An understanding of the business and management context is a key skill employers look for and essential for those aiming to set up their own businesses.

The full MSc course consists of an induction programme, four taught modules, and a project dissertation. Please note that this is an indicative list of modules and is not intended as a definitive list.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The information above reflects the current course structure and module details. Updates may be made annually, and revised details will be published in the programme specifications ahead of each academic year. The regulations governing this course are available on our website.

A group of young university students shares content on a laptop.

We have a strong and active industrial focus, which informs and directs all of our teachings.

Key skills are taught through lecturer-led sessions that typically involve a high proportion of hands-on, practical learning, using current commercial tools and techniques. You will be given a set of concepts and examples, and are then challenged with one or more problems to which you can apply your new skills.

You will often work in teams to apply your knowledge to achieve solutions to real-world problems in a project-based learning approach.

Ample time for mentoring is provided in the timetable, which complements the expected self-study that is required. Further learning and support are provided through Learning Central (Geeks’ Virtual Mentor) and students are also encouraged to engage with the local tech community through meetups and other networking events.

FAQs:

Is there an application fee to pay?

No.

What is the deadline for paying tuition?

Tuition fees are determined by the funding option(s) you select when applying for a course.

Upon accepting an admission offer, you will need to pay a deposit of 10% of the tuition fees within 20 days, along with signing the loan agreement (if applicable).

We will then issue the CAS to international students, so they can apply for their visas. Upon receiving your visa and enrolment, you must pay the balance of your fees within 10 days. You will be required to pay the total tuition fees less the loan minus the 10% deposit you have already made.

What is the payment method for my course?

Fees can be paid in several ways.

A) Using our e-Payment System, you can pay online. You can use any major credit card. Make sure to include your LSI student number, name, and date of birth when making payments to London School of Innovation.

B) Payment can be made by bank-to-bank transfer. Our bank details will be included in your offer of admission letter.
C)If your country has student recruitment agents, you can pay in your local currency. For more information, please contact us.

FAQs:

Is there an application fee to pay?

No.

Is a bank account necessary for student financial aid?

Yes, you will need a bank account since loan payments must be paid directly into an account in your name. Creating a student account is a good idea before you apply for student financing

Bank accounts are usually opened with the following documents:

  • A passport or driver’s license should be one of the forms of identification

  • Address proof, such as a utility bill or bank statement

  • Proof of student status, such as an acceptance letter from your higher education institute or an offer letter from UCAS.

  • Online applications for student bank accounts are now available from most banks, but you must still mail or bring supporting documents to your local branch. Photocopies are not acceptable, only originals.

How much does it cost to live there?

Student spending averages £924 per month according to Save the Student’s National Student Money Survey 2022.

It is likely that this amount will have already increased by the time you begin your course. Bringing a family will also add expenses to your budget.

Do I have the option of working to cover my living expenses?

If you are an international student, you cannot work while studying. This is an intense programme and your coursework will need your full attention and time during the year-long programme.
